Re: poll: what do you do?

I need more hours a day. for the cashish, i'm an administrative assistant/office support for the appeals court for unemployment benefits for the state of washington, a janitor at the rehearsal space my band practices at, bouncer/security guard for a club, stage hand for a production company, and jus...

slow, tedious and mind numbing. Sometimes i curse the digital world. but at times, its gotta be done cause its just too sloppy and i cannot take 12 hours of listening to it slop around.

Re: (like Homers Simpsons brain) I'm outta here!

your vespa was stolen? good thing you got it back, for $200. makes no sense at all. from where did they steal it? My bike was taken from right in front of the honey hole, around 9:30 p.m. sneaky fuckers. I've been thinking about getting a scooter. Layoff from the gear addiction, and after tour save ...

Re: Are you at work right now?

I am as well, in the office biatch club. typing, scheduling, faxing, copying, processing, checking, blahblahblah... i work for the court of appeals for unemployment benefits, so i listen to hearings all day about people losing their jobs, with one window open to tape op every day. kinda ironic. The ...

Re: mackie 1202

I give a second to eeldip. I have a 1202 and its used for onstage use , routing the keyboards and sampler, cd player. And at times like last saturday night were we're playing a show with a below par pa, I've got half the band going through it as well, now that's a fun gig, being sound dude and perfo...

Re: getting those vocals to sit in there

the too many trees like too many damb cooks makes sense as well. unfortunately there is not "lead" we all share about the same amount of time on da mic, and usually there can 2 to 3 different vocal lines going at once. So i thinks just going to be a lot of riding individual faders and makeing a deci...

Re: to rent out a home studio or not?

If its all the tracking is done in my rehearsal space, i only charge beer and mock chicken curry from the restaurant down the street. I do my final mixing at a friend's/partner's place and usually work out a trade with him or charge $10 an hour. I do most of the rough mixing on my own time for free ...

Re: getting those vocals to sit in there

thanks for the suggestions... as far as sticking out... i guess that is part of the problem, but more like needing to spice it up. make it bigger, badder and more interesting. i like the panned delay idea and the sans amp idea. on the current material we recorded, there are 5 of us screamin and holl...

Re: favorite taco bell item?

ack taco bell. I'm a vegan. The only time Taco bell even comes into question is in emergency situations, like touring in the mid west. fuck that's hard on a vegan if you don't have your electric wok in the van with you. I've learned the hard way. I'd much prefer a Taco Johns anyday than that huge co...
