Yeah, it's on their page now too. 2,500 dollars msrp???!!! What is different about the thing? It looks like the same box with an added headphone amp. Pretty lame.

Seems like interest is already dying before the pos even comes out. Too early to create hype? mmmmm my BLA 002 will be done soon.

after staring at the dp session for 3 hours i figured out how to export the soundbites as .wav files and burned a data disk. Worked like a charm. :)

I don't think there's a way to open like that in PT. That website pretty much just said to use a converter, but all the converters I've found won't recognize either the sample/bit rate or even recognize the file, because it was made on a mac.

Need help kinda quick!

Hey all. I was just sent a session that was recorded on a G5 in Digital performer at 96K/24bits. I believe the "mac/pc" button was checked when saving. Anyhow, I'm 300 miles away from that macintosh now, but I have access to another g5 with DP on it. The audio files are sd2. Obviously, I'm having tr...

That doesn't really look all that sturdy or dense to me. You may be better of making a pair, if you're looking to get off cheap.

That's really really cheap. I have been keeping my eyes open. Haven't found one less than 1,000. If you pass on it, PM me. Peace

Yeah, they're just toying now. Don't think they read these forums? You bet they do. I bet IF the thing comes out, that it's just another piece of shit. I hope so. My 002 is on Matt's bench next week. I don't really want to replace that unless the 003 is really great...but i bet it sucks.

I just got a big ass dry erase board recently. I have always made charts. I just make a row for each song and then a row for each possible instrument, leaving a few blanks for something different. We "x" out the squares that are done. It really serves as something the musicians love to do. I know it...

I listened to the demos at realtraps as well...I didn't care much for the sound of it. The SE still had a tiny bit of room tone, but the realtraps killed it and seemed to gain proximity effect or something. It made doug sound like he had a nasty cold, but that could be the shitty ass tlm103 he was t...

does other similar music sound the same on your ipod? 9 times isn't that bad if you're new to this stuff. I try to mix a song every day. Even if i didn't push the red button once, I try to 0 out a board and mix from scratch something I've done in the past. Practice is mucho importante.

I do the exact opposite, but pretty much the same thing. I put a track a little low in the mix and then sweep around with a boost until it really pokes out of the mix and then back off on the boost a bit and bring it back up into the mix. I guess both ideas would work the same way, but I just wanted...

Both of those bands you mention SLAM compressors hard. Compress each track and then send them all to an AUX Bus and compress the shit out of that too. And throw some verb in there with a fair (30ms?) amount of pre delay. G'luck

You should be able to use DSP EQ's in your Roland unit. It would be very hard to make any progress writing EQ to each track. It would suck bad actually. When people mix OTB they would use a console, which has a dedicated Parametric EQ for each channel/track. I'm almost for certain you can do that wi...
