Yep, and I really like the AT phones too. Both sets sound different, but very good sound quality. Senns are perhaps are bassier, and the AT's ATM50's are a little more open sounding.

I've had really good luck with the Onkyo home theatre packages. Good for TV and music.

I have one of thier headphone amps.
I think it's the model you speak of.
It works great, solid build, sounds decent for tracking and gets plenty loud enough.

Hey Gradwellhouse, just an FYI my Avast Antivirus popped up an alert and didn't let me go you your site. It was reporting it has a virus: JS:Redirector-G [Trj]

Maybe it's a false positive? I dunno but thought you ought to know....Cheers!

I had the BM6a's for quite a while, they went low enough for the music I was working on. They just never extended into the sub bass regions.
Definitely very good speakers that are capable of good mixes.
You could always add a sub later on.

Sorry, I cant help on the 15's though.

Seagates for me too! I cant find a reason to go with any other brand.

Those external FreeAgent drives work really well for me.

Heart drum mics? Is that a mic placed in the drummer's heart/chest area?

Sounds like a cool trick!

I painted, installed baseboards, and built some proper looking acoustic panels.

Now the place looks like a room, not a garage/woodshop.

I too am keeping any eye out for a nice tube condenser.

Dont want to confuse things, but there's a shit-ton of hype surrounding the new BeesNeez mics over at grearslutz.
Hand made capsules, point to point wiring, all the fancy polar patterns, etc..., great reviews so far.

How does the MD1a sound as mono OH?

Maybe even try the KM84 and the Md1a as a mixed OH pair?

I have a pair of 84's, I was in the same boat a few years ago and dont regret shelling out the money to make a pair of 84's.

FS: Dynaudio BM6A monitors, Presonus FaderPort

I have a pair of original version Dynaudio BM6a monitors for sale. Excellent condition, never pushed too hard, sound perfect, original boxes, tiny bit of scratches on the bottom, cosmetically very nice. I think I still have the manuals. $925 shipped. SOLD Presonus Fader Port , never used. I took it ...

Great ideas and thoughts guys, thanks a bunch.

I just quoted a day rate that is more than a real comerical studio nearby.
And they like the price! I guess it all depends on who your working with.

I really like Solo-Bration's hybrid approach.
