thanks for your help guys. just one more question, say i'm recording vocals on both channels and i want to send them to my firepod, could i use the s/pdif to do so? would it act the same as if i were using xlr cables? is the quality better then xlr? sorry..i'm just not very clear about this yet!

A soundcraft 200 Preamp, or an ART Digital MPA Tube Preamp? Why do you think so?

I record mainly indie rock groups. I thought a majority of the recordings sounded good, but the guitars and vocals could have sounded better. I usually use the akg d190e's for toms or guitar cabs. any suggestions? should i sell them towards something else?

My AKG C3000B isn't doing too well. I Still get a signal through it, but it is very weak. I was wondering if anyone could help me with to MODing idea's.
