If I was to grab another delay it'd be the Echoboy. It also emulates the Space Echo along with several other vintage gear.
Echoboy is a classic and for good reason - extremely versatile and great sounding.

BUT as a pure space echo emulation, the AudioThing gets me way closer (and I own a 201).

PSP 2445 is also pretty fun on electric guitars, drums and new age piano.

Re: Reverb Help

Valhalla vintage verb is great. Love it on vocals and guitars or synths.

Dirty plate setting or random space are both excellent.

the old "only getting one side" headphone dilemna

One of my Extreme Isolation headphones had a side die this past month and these are nearly $200 a set to replace now so I am wondering about trying to resuscitate. ... are these types of things usually repairable? I suspect a broken connection in the cable/connection to the headphone is more likely ...

Re: strange speaker problem

further testing... woofers are reading 6 ohms so I don't think they are blown - crossovers??

also apparently my amp is putting out DC voltages (44.9 ish) - i'm not techy but apparently that's bad.

strange speaker problem

I have a woofer that was slowly wearing out in one of my ProAc studio 100s. I had a similar problem a few years ago and bought a pair of replacement woofers. I replaced one at the time and attempted to replace the other yesterday. Today I hooked it up and the speaker is not passing sound through the...

TRANSPARENCY.

That is what you require from an audio converter.

CHARACTER.

That is what you require from your other equipment, such as instruments, microphones, etc.
This is one opinion - myself I'd love some Burl in my chain....

Re: drummers without sound holes on their kicks!

I’ll sometimes put a 57 on the beater side a few inches away from the spot where the beater hits. Closer if you want isolation, farther back if you want some under snare action too. If the kick is crazy boomy and I don’t need that much in the mix I just move the main kick mic over to the beater sid...
