Thanks for the replys. I knew I wasn't gonna get diffusion from this... I guess I should've explained better. I have a large room 25x30 all brick with plaster, in one corner I'm building a room. The two existing (brick, exterior) walls will get the styrofoam for heat and moisture reasons, not sound....

Styrofoam would go behind the studs on the brick/plaster wall for possible condensation reasons as one is an exterior wall, regular insulation between studs, maybe cover with fabric, then apply 1x8's.

I was thinking along the lines of a slotted trap only a whole wall. Maybe?

Pretty sure the capsule is blown. I checked the xlr connector, bypassed the low cut filter, even alligator clipped a connector onto the wires straight from the capsule and no matter what I get an extremely weak signal. I still haven't received an email reply from sennheiser about replacement capsule...
