Well, aside from bass cabs and as a projectile, it's pretty good as a front of kit mic. Works well as a kick and snare glue, especially if you like a "weighty" snare, just don't get very close to the bass drum. I also used it for a not-upfront acoustic guitar sound. Works good for vocals that need t...

Hey!
It really was me, and I'm glad it's working out for you. I'm still trying to sell the other two if any body wants one.
Boy you sure scared me with that topic:
"Who sold me that d202?" Sounds like it would be followed by
"Why I oughtta....."

FS/FT: Ampeg Portaflex
Regrettably I must sell my B-15r to get a louder rig for outdoor shows and what not. This amp is incredible for recording both mic'ed and DI, and usable for gigs unless you have more than one really loud guitar. This is the reissue with switchable 100/60 watts power, all tube, xlr DI out, selectable...

Ampeg B15 R. It sounds fantastic with a mic of course, but 9 times out of 10 the XLR out sounds way better than the Avalon U5, no kidding. Most of the time I end up just unhooking the speaker so there won't be any bleed in the drum mics. Sounds good direct to the console, really good through an old ...

Vintage drums and mics for sale!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270132997538 I'm selling a 1970's (B&O Badge) Ludwig 5 piece kit sizes 12, 13, 16, 22 with a 14X5 acrolite snare. I bought two sets of similar age to refurbish and this one came out the best. The shells are all in great shape and are still round, be...

FS: AKG D202 E1's nice Dual Element dynamic
I have 3 AKG D202 E1 (sound rocket) mic's for sale. Two are in excellent condition and come with the original case, one is missing the cone (windscreen). All test well (tested both elements- the bass element is in the end with the xlr connector) and sound good. The one without the cone is a little t...
