FA/FS: Sound Workshop 1280
Selling my Sound Workshop 1280, trying to gather up funds for some seventh circle gear, or chandler, anyway here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270085780897 These boards really do live up to the hype. I've recorded some great sounding drums and guitars with this beast...

Amek Consoles
I'm looking at a BCII and a Classic, anyone have any experience with either one?
The BCII is nearby, and has buss compression which could be cool...
I'm mainly looking for great pre's though.
Any help would be appreciated

WTB: Seventh Circle gear
I'm looking for a seventh circle setup, with power supply and rack. I don't have a preference for which cards are in it, or how many.
Please post a reply or PM me.
Thanks

I'm a big fan of the CAD E-200, the first generation, not the ones you get new now. They hover around $200 ea on ebay. Really good for drum overheads when you don't want harsh, bright sound. Figure 8 sounds really good if you have a good room. They also sound fantastic on a bright acoustic like a ta...

Hey, if you want to take out a loan to get started on your hobby and you're okay with paying many times what the gear is worth to have it now, more power to ya. Really, people pay interest on Harleys every day, I see no difference man. If you are really doing this to make money, even just eno...

Ramsa!
Hey, I'll take any opportunity to brag on ramsa, I have a 24 channel and it's great. It has the A/B switch, inserts and directs on every channel, and aux 1 can be used as a volume for the direct out.

Use that ribbon!
I have that mic (apex 210), and I got great results with it about 2 feet from the resonant head of the kick and about 6 inches off of the floor. Also used a beta 52 on the batter side (phase reversed) for attack. The pre on the apex was a gml, but I've gone straight to console and gotten good sound ...

Ramsa!
You might consider Ramsa boards as well, I'm using a wr-s4424 and it sounds great. The pre's are pretty transparent, but on the sweeter, more forgiving side. Not harsh. Also not what I would call "fuzzy" type warm if that's what you need. The eq's are very usable, one sweepable band and nice fixed p...
