Phono PreAmp

I probobly use sampling as my primary production tool. I have been using my vestax mixer for my phono power, but it occured to me that there are in fact other solutions for this. Does anyone have a good recomendation? Like the RNC of Phono PreAmps? Thanks for your advice!

Its a gamble but I would buy it if I were you. probly wont cost more than 200 to repair and even then your still getting a good price for it.

Hardware EQ, is it worth it?

I have used a variety of EQ in my music production and just about all of them have been software based (Trackplug, Liquid Mix, Waves). Will a quality hardware EQ impart sonic benefits that these soft EQ cannot? I have been eye balling the great river EQ-1NV, but 1500$ seems pretty steep. Any thought...

Kick Drum, cutting a hole in

Does anyone know of a good method on how to cut a hole in a kick drum. I assume its more complicated than using an exacto knife and tracing around a coffee can. Articles and/or some solid suggestions would be much appreciated.

Drum Overhead mic pair under 500

I was looking into the rode NT4 but was put off by how unflexible it looked. So I was either thinking the NT5 or the studio projects c4 mics. Any suggestions?

excuse my ignorance but.... Why is it preferable to get an external DA AD converter in the first place and how is it exactly connected to the signal chain? This is something I?ve never quite understood.

Voltage converter

Can anyone recommend/point me in the right direction to a UK 230volt to US 110 (?) volt converter. The UK chord I have is a 3 prong female to 2 prong UK male. Hope this makes sense... I?m not very proficient at this stuff. Thanks!

Sorry for the onslaught on newbie electrical questions but? will a power strip with 3 pronged outlets suffice even if the wall outlet is not grounded?
