the monomachine is just software emulation of the sid... it doesn't have a sid chip in it.... so, it supposedly doesn't have that characteristic noise, charm, and slight bit of underlying chaos that the sid has caused by its poor design (poor but wonderful).

what's your favorite color of noise? mine's brown noise. it's just so warm and fuzzy. I'm also a fan of bluish noise. so, I have a peavey pc1600x midi controller. in addition to its 16 faders it has 2 CV inputs, which it converts to MIDI. i've only seen these used for footpedals, but i'd like to build a couple of drum triggers for these CV inputs so my drummer can trigger some samples. i figure i can use a contact ...

The Peizo buzzer has two wires. Connect these to the Tip and Ring of a TS 1/4" plug. Swap the Tip and Ring wires to change the polarity/phase of the buzzer. You could probably connect it to an XLR or TRS jack and let the Sleeve/Shield float for slightly better semi-balanced operatio anyone know how...
