I like the Avenson STO2's for overheads on loud thrashy rock - they are not bright and give a lot of the room sound too. They are similar to test mics and are omni.

I like to use 2 mics on the top horn at 45 degree angles to each other - that is one in the front and one on the side of the cabinet and hard pan them. Be sure to get them equidistant to the horn as it is pointed toward each of them. Like Garges said it sounds twice as fast if they are at 90 degrees...
