Obviously not stage-ready. My 441 came with the soft rubber wrap-around clip. It works great and doesn't look cheap-ass like this DIY POS.

http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=336856&x=0&Ntt=velcro&y=0&uniqueSearchFlag=true&An=text I like those. I keep them at the male end on all my cables. Seconded. Velcro is the fabric of Gods. Worth the extra cost. Plus you can use them when you want to secure the cable to a stand. The o...

It was cool they tracked analog at 30ips. However, I was disappointed that Bob mastered it to 24bit/96k then SRC'd to 44.1k for CD. I understand the reason for 96, to preserve the highest fidelity for future formats, but why not go 44.1 and 96 simultaneously? Surely Ludwig has the facilities to mast...

I've always used the second technique in the video, turning my wrist for the under. However, the first technique, twisting the cable towards, then away from you looks faster, (and cooler). As far as the folding loop technique thegunshyboy talks about, I think it puts undue stress on the cable compar...

Why does it have to be local?

More often than not I send it off to be mastered in another city/state. I live in So Cali and have had stuff mastered in NY, San Francisco, etc. It usually isn't my decision and I'm not going to attend the session anyway, so why the need to have it local? I've even uploaded single tracks to masterin...

Great songs Steve. I love 'Past Tense.' Very Elliot Smith (not in a rip-off way). Judging from the crap MP3 I think the mix could actually use some work. It sounds a little demo-esque. The bg vox especially could use a little more level. Are you a fan of Jon Brion by any chance? Sounds like somethin...

Or maybe you should get your amp fixed so you don't electrocute yourself. Why did it take 4 posts for someone to mention how dangerous ungrounded electronics can be? For me, it's 3 prong or nothing.

You guys ever go to the Largo on Fairfax?

All us LA area Tapeops should go to a show at the Largo. Jon Brion plays there every Friday night. It's always a blast. Fairfax between Beverly and Melrose. Across from Canters Deli.
