I'm not totally happy with the sounds so I was planning on running them through my '77 Fender Princeton Reverb and mic'ing them with a Beyer m160...

I don't have anything, but a suggestion...go to a thrift store, get a bunch of plates and glasses for a nickel a piece, then record the band smashing them.

what exactly do you mean by density? i use the word too but I have a feeling it's one of those things that the meaning varies with user.. Hm, I guess the best synonym would be "thick."
