I'd say you are only half on crack.

I hate composing in PT, and I hate editing and mixing in Logic. You can't run both on your system?

Can you export your MIDI data and fly it into PT?

it's also important to remember that for cardioid patterns, the best rejection is actually at the side of the mic, not the rear.

I'm sure that the polar pattern contributed, but this is a particularly dark mic that we're talking about, and that color was evident on the recording.

It's a Furman M-8L. I don't think it's the power conditioner though. There were things plugged in to the outlet that weren't running through the Furman, and they lost power too...
