Re: Waves Nx: Virtual Mix Room

I tried it a while back when I was without studio monitors using a pair of Grado's I've been using for almost 20 years. At first I was really impressed with it, particularly when using the head tracker. Didn't do any mixes using it. After a couple of months of listening, I switched it off and fell i...

Wanted to mention, re the mono samples, I think you meant, "reverb in mono panned right."
Haha yes I meant my other left!

Thanks for the heads up...

Bump. I just saw a thread that mentioned the Han D Magnetizer. Would this work on the 414? Han-D-mag will work just fine. Its a bit overkill if your only going to de-mag cassette decks, but you won't hurt anything as long as you use it properly, and you won't need to buy another demager if you ever...

Even if azimuth and electrical alignment is set as perfect as it can be, there will still be some phase difference depending on the track and frequency, which can be quickly verified with white noise and an oscilloscope in X-Y mode, like MoreSpaceEcho said, you most likely will be better off printin...

That's a solid state amp... I am in the amp repair business and while I can't say for sure without the amp on my bench, from the number of Stage 100's I've fixed, most likely you have a cracked solder joint for a power resistor or capacitor in the power supply, which you cannot see unless you take t...

I'm guessing your problem is because track #2 is one of the tracks you are bouncing to #1. You can't do a bounce to an adjacent track using the sync head, or at least not without greatly reducing its level. You should be able to bounce tracks 3-8 to track 1 without a problem. What is happening is wh...

Anybody use online drum track services?

I'm having trouble finding a local drummer that fits stylistically and can cut it when the mics are on for a personal project of mine.

Anybody have any good, bad, or otherwise, experience with online drum track services?

Tape Op #86/Jack Miller

Really enjoying this issue!

Who's the band in the picture (titled "vocal overdub session, 1968), at the beginning of the article on Jack Miller?

They look familiar, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out who they are!

I had a CD player that would let me select L-R, did quite a bit of listening in that mode, definitely reveals stuff that might not be as noticeable otherwise. The "problem" if you want to call it that is caused by the "sleeve" connection on either the the jack or the headphone plug is faulty, effect...

Tascam M50 parts...

A customer of mine just dropped off a Tascam M50 completely disassembled. I have no desire to put it all back together as the chassis is missing. I have channels and the master module and meter bridge.

Anybody interested in any of these parts?
