I noticed that the IT 1220 is discontinued.

Now Furman is offering the IT-20 II. Curious what the difference is.

Get this, you're right. Probably anyway. Purely by chance the cards that I was swapping out with each other BOTH have the clear plastic relays. All the other cards are original. They have the sealed ones. I think that's it. Thanks for persisting. I plan to replace the relays.

the sound re-occurs every time i go into reccord while monitoring repro regardless of which card I place in that slot. It is specific to channel 12 not the card that is located in that slot. I'm heading down there today to check it out again. I pm'd him he's also conviced it should be the relay issu...

I replaced the channel cards and the sound remained. It doesn't occur on any other channel. The channel that I was recording on was swapped out for another channel. The sound remained on that channel. It did not follow the card. I did find one reference to the "wooshing" / "wind" sound in this post ...

MX-70 strange "wind" noise

I was in the middle of my session this weekend when I was noticing an intermittent "crunchy sound" on the floor tom track. I swapped out the card and found that I couldn't recreate the problem but I noticed a strange "wind noise" sort of sound while monitoring the Reproduce head. It seemed to occur ...

Great. Let me know what you think. My plan is to try and do the next record a bit more traditionally and see what kind of results we can get. It sounds easy enough but with this band you never know what's going to happen. They are always interesting and really great guys as well.

I did both "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth" records. On "snacks" we iso'd both kits. It was pretty ridiculous. One iso is about 8'-4', sort of shoe box shaped. We crammed a kit in there sideways somehow. I had to mic the kick drum with one of those bendy mic stand arm things just to get a mic in the...

MCI JH428b. Arriving in two weeks! Peterson V-SAM strobe tuner. Pretty excited about this one too! Prior to that I bought a Pendulum ES-8 back in January that I've been really happy with. Now I'm totally and completely broke. :) I doubt I'll post anything to this forum again unless it's a lawyer to ...

it was great to meet all the mikes indeed! i now have a utopian vision where every industry person i know is named mike and therefore i never run into the problem of forgetting someone's name that i spent three months working on a record with!

i noticed that there are also several companies making the "500" racks besides API (Brent Avrill, Old School). Not just pieces that go into the API. Are all API compaitible pieces also compatible with these other makers versions of the same idea?
