Every time I look up Tuchel anything, I get a headache. It's the darndest thing.

Here's a side-by-side, the lil' guy on the left and a standard XLR on the right. Can't tell in this photo, but the male end of the lil' guy doesn't have any threading. Just a push-in.

Closest visual match I can find is an EV 654, but the bodies are different. I'm guessing it's an Omni by the grille design.

Can anyone help ID this mic?

http://i.imgur.com/lPAdmN5.jpg Picked this up this morning for $0.50. Came with an Amphenol-branded cord that adapts from the 2-prong mic to a small 3-prong connection (not XLR). There's a little ring around the bottom where I think a label once lived, but it's gone now. For some reason I'm thinkin...

Wouldn't they be more use as head mics, like a omni in each ear? http://tapeop.com/tutorials/47/dummy-head-mic/ Hard to tell from the photos, but they're smaller (a regular light bulb might just barely fit inside) and made of ceramic. If they were full (human) size and rubber?... head mics for sure.

Picked up these bad boys at an antique show a few years ago. Current plan is to wire a decent sized light bulb inside each of them so they glow (and shoot light out the eyes/mouth) and put one on top of each monitor. Ambiance, bitch. https://scontent-iad3-1.cdninstagram.com/l/t51.2885-15/e15/1941166...

"Includes two tape cassettes"

Son, for 900 damn dollars it better come with at least five tape cassettes. At least.

Love me some Equitek!

I have a "vintage" E-350 that's one of my most detailed mics.

Re: Anyone own/use a Kemper Profiling Amp? Looking for opini

Thanks for the insight, that's super helpful. The gist I've gotten is that it's a studio tool first and foremost, and also quite possible to use it as a live amp, given the right settings and complimentary gear (which seems to be quite different and (more expensive) than a normal guitar rig... super...

Yeah same I'm not recording other people as much as myself, and I find loud amps impractical in my house due to volume (ironically becomes hard to tell what you sound like), feedback (which is cool, sometimes), and noise...not to mention acoustic imperfections of my space. Same. I am more intereste...

I think if it's a choice between a nice amp collection verses a Kemper, the amp collection is the better asset for the studio if you're wanting to attract outside bands/artist to produce and record. Where does it stop? ..drum samples, amp profiling, console/tape emu's, autotune, quantizing, blah, ....

Anyone own/use a Kemper Profiling Amp? Looking for opinions.

Bit of background: We're moving, and our new place affords me a good-sized room to devote to music and creative pursuits. Which is awesome, but moving sucks, and while the last 12 months have been freaking unbelievable in terms of the amazing gear deals I stumbled/traded into, lugging all the result...

We can probably get you free guns, but that's the best compromise we can offer at the moment.

Come join us in rural America!

People are friendly, land/houses are cheap, and every small town has at least two drive-thru carryout/pizza joints. :D

Bump!

$100 price drop, still $50 less than I'm asking on Craigslist.

Someone help a brother out and give this sweet piece of kit a new home!

Vintage Panasonic Ramsa WR-S4424 24-channel mixing console..

I'm downsizing my recording setup (again), and so up for sale goes my console. Hate to see it go but I'm not using it enough to justify keeping it. This is a vintage Panasonic Ramsa 24-channel analog audio console/mixer. Haven't used it the past few years but the last time I had it all connected it ...
