blue kiwi microphone FS

Hello everyone, I am selling a BLUE KIWI microphone. I'm asking 1,100 firm. I paid almost 2,000 dollars for it in 2002. This is an early version, with cherry hardwood custom box, custom shockmount, and Blue pop filter. Mint condition! This microphone was stored in smoke-free climate controlled studi...

okay! more details all around please! i recently sat in on a session with a big producer where he was using an SM7 on the kick drum. i was all, wtf, so i tried it back at my studio later and ... well... yuck... the SM7 had no low end and sounded really midrangey - clickey on the kick. i couldn't rep...

I feel like it sort of has to happen again.

I have much respect for craig larry and hillary and the WHOLE crew for putting so much effort into both events!

They worked their asses off!

I hope one of the two gatherings resurfaces!

I have attended 4 of the events, total.

it still sounds DARNED good with 57s. it's also really inspiring that someone can make such a great sounding record using mainly the cheapest, most readily available overused microphone in the world... i'm sure that we all know or have seen someone attempt to make a record using mainly 57s that came...

1961 RCA BC3C Console

I have an RCA BC3C tube broadcast console from 1961 for sale. It is all intact and original with schematics and the manual. It has really huge, cool RCA knobs on the front. It could be modified to use the tube preamp sections as individual mic pre's. It needs some work, internally. I don't know much...

WANTED: Equipment racks, various

I am looking for large, 6 foot ish vertical metal equipment racks. The one that I have is actually light blue with nice fake woodgrain around the edges. If you know of someone with one like that for sale, I would probably freak out, as I need another. Anyone that knows of any large vertical metal on...

I wasn't feeling the Frusciante article. It read to me like, "records in the 60s and 70s had vibe, man. We've got to get rid of all this mojo killling technology." This sentiment is starting to feel like a boring schtick to me. Yeah, we get plenty of that on the messageboard without having to read ...
