Just got a call from a client that wants me to do a "live" recording in the living room of his house tomorrow, which has a wood floor and a good acoustic feel to it. It's a fairly large room. Not too reverberant, but guitars and vocals sound "open" and alive. I suggested it to him when visiting last...

I had a local studio engineer give me an old Ampex 300-4 transport unit along with the 4 351 pres. He was going to "take it to the landfill" if I didnt pick up......I was there in 2 hours....yeah true story...

Ampex 1/4" x 2300' tape - 4 reels - 2 unopened

Ampex original, two are still sealed, two are opened but never used. They also have the number 797-150W11 on the sticker on the back. I am not an expert, but i think these are 456 original formula? $20 + $7 shipping? I will glady send you a picture if needed....hopefully somebody can put these to us...

In mint perfect shape, used I think 3 times total. I am now using a Pod unit and Avalon U5 instead. Comes with carrying bag, power supply, foot switch, everything for $40 +$10 shipping (US only). Just simply sitting around so I hope someone can use this...

No its the entire time when the Seagate is on.....I'm going to swap out the mixer see what happens....
