Look between the reel table and the chassis.There are two set screws that hold the reel table assy to the reel motor shaft.Old one's have Phillips head screws, the newer one have Allen screws,loosen and adjust reel table height to taste.

No, that bracket has a thrust washer on it to stabilize the capstan motor shaft end play,and keep the capstan shaft from falling out..

You need to verify that the "pro" has the service manual,playback alignment tape,and the necessary test equipment,(O-scope and VTVM).
