Are you sure you want to do this? Seems like a really bad idea... As an owner of both, I'd disagree.
The 3124 looks good on paper, but it's not nearly the piece that the MP2NV is. I wish I could afford a second MP2NV, and couldn't get rid of my 3124 fast enough...

I have to replace a bent rim and saw that there were options. Anyone have experiences with these things?

It's the studio kit (I don't play), 8-ply maple, rock mostly.

i've always heard that tape is best after a few record-throughs. I guess it works out some of the retentivity, maybe?
