Beyerdynamic DT770 pro. Go to a GC and tell them you wanna pay 140 for them, they are normally sold for 200. Awesome isolation, great sound quality. Extremely comfortable.

Guitar Center should stock Quantegy, or any other local pro audio store you would happen to be near should be able to get you some.

If you want to remain shopping on the net, check tapetape.com

At GC, it really was a per case basis on a lot of things. First off, no returns on software or vocal microphones. Most items that are returned will be labeled open box, and a 10% discount is automatically applied. Certain items I really don't think a big fuss should be made about if it had been retu...

All in all, i'm not out to say gc is great and the best place in the world, and i think they have a deserved reputation in the industry for not knowing shit. At my store however, despite a few shitty salespeople, most of the people there weren't out to gouge the customer and didn't sell stuff based ...

Re: I guess I am full of poop

Of course some cables are built to last, and some are not. I just don't wanna hear any of this "extended frequency response" horseshit regarding monster cable. I thought that's the direction that "shitty hosa" comment was going. Yes, making them yourself is the only way to go, since the guys we're ...

Not to be a prick, but someone could walk into a guitar center and get the 7602 w/ psu for 799.

Look around for some artist lofts. I'm on the verge of moving in to some new ones being built in st. Paul. A 2 bedroom loft is going to run us(my roommate and i) $1017 a month, and the only utility we pay is electricity. It's disgustingly nice inside, and it's only 50 bucks more a month each than we...

Re: spare me

"...shitty hosa or pro20m cables don't qualify for a "pro account" This guy must buy into the monster cable scam - how else could you work there if you were not willing to deceive people? mmmm, those fake gold connectors sound better! I miss the old days of haggling, before these capitalism gone aw...

Original Mbox had focusrite pres. Digi sold focusrite, so they had to release a new version without focusrite pres. The Mbox2 trades focusrite pres and inserts to lesser pres and midi support. Mbox1 works fine with Pro Tools 7, so if it came to mbox 1 or 2, most people would be foolish to not go wit...

My best GC story involves me asking if they had any Universal Audio. I was told... "Well, yes. All of our audio products work very well together." I stood there for a second and thought about what he said. I didn't really understand. I saw him staring at me, itching to get away from me unless I bou...

Re: if ever you need to buy something at guitar center . . .

Here's a few tips to remember if you HAVE to buy something at guitar center (many of you probably know this already--and remember a lot of the people working there are working the proverbial shitjob like the rest of us so courtesy always helps): 1) Haggle to your heart's content. The salepeople are...

Yeah, Cinammon Girl is a pretty rocking song. Too bad he had to do all that loudmouth political shit like Southern Man. At least that dude is kind of a character in a megalomaniacal humorous kind of way. Wilco just seemed kind of foo foo to me though. That band needed a Halford, or a Bon Scott, or ...
