Re: worst client ever
smojo, glad I could give you something other to think about besides "betty" and her friend "boop." Seems as though the consensus here is to keep doin the work. After all it IS the music business . I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but I'd be all over that kind of money right now, no matter wh...

Re: worst client ever
So who do you think is going to play you in the movie which is obviously being made here?

Re: recording wives tales & bad information
I'm a producer, really! I am! Here are my credentials:
- I watch MTV
- I can turn knobs and move faders
... so you are an engineer?
Nope, I'm a producer. Just like on MTV.

Re: Interns
Sounds like I should move to NYC... or head back to school for a seventh year. Why not, everyone else goes to NYC for their "big break."

How to contact a studio and get heard.
Hey all you studio owners/managers/etc: If someone were to call your studio looking for a job or even an internship, and I'm sure you've had a few to say the least, what would you like to hear that would turn you on to the person, or turn you off? What kind of stuff can get a foot in your door and w...

Also if you happen to have one of those sweet Neumann Contest CDs there is a question about mic placement on a cello. You could listen to each one and decide which you like better...

Re: Man, is anyone taking that Neumann Sound Engineering Con
I worked on it Sunday afternoon and was excited that I only had to turn in 3 or the 6 sections. That was pretty fun though, as hard as it was. Absorption coefficients are greek to me, that's for sure. But educated guesses are my forte (not that I always get them correct, I just like to think so)... ...

Re: behringer b1 vs. studio projects b1? Off topic!!
This thread reminds me of a story: I was in a rock climbing store one time and this tourist guy came in and wanted to take his family climbing. He told the sales guy that he "probably will need a rope and some of those clip-thingys, and some harnesses." Long story short, he didn't know jack about cl...
