Definitely make your own if you can. Get some Mogami 2534 and some Neutrik XLR connectors and solder away. It's cheaper, you can customize the lengths, and the quality will be superior to most cables you can buy. Plus basic soldering and cable making skills come in handy ALL the time.

I love my SF-12 on piano and OH. Also sometimes perfect for acoustic guitar. It has what I think of as an "un-forced" sound.
