I like the idea of, lets call it, audio-couture being the device and not just the headphones/cables part of the equation. Why not have people with expendable income get excited about music? If you know anything about consumer spending, it's very much a U-shaped paradigm: cheap cheap cheap consumer g...

I am in the middle of this too, and I have no deadline that isnt just self imposed. My GF left on a 10 day business and I so setup my DAW and monitors in the middle of the living room in front of the sofa. If she saw that when she got back she would be very unhappy, so it's my goal to be wrapped up ...

I'm mixing 3 songs right now where the kick is a MIDI kick and either a single LCD as an overhead (to basically a cocktail kit) or a Shure 76 Omni that gets bleed of the high hat and the snare.

It's fairly sparse drumming, but by no means folky or small. Rock what ya got.

Also; see Ravonettes.

Goggi plays a Musicmaster bass, often. They run his mic'd amp through the Neve broadcast in their studio which has on board compressors. They openly admit to squishing the hell out of their bass sounds.

Compressor pedals on bass are an awesome substitute!

This is way better than FireWire 800 anyways:

Educational Gear - Videos

Alright, so, um, living conditions for me are about to change and my commute is about to get insane. So I wanna get myself into a routine of practice since playing with city peeps and serious recording is about to become impossible. So, I want to know what all the worthwhile instructional videos are...

THD Yellow Jackets in my "Hybrid" Amp

Hey guys, I've been thinking about this for a long time now. I used to own some nice all tube amps, but when my last one kicked the bucket, I was on a budget and bought a '70s CMI Electronics "SG Systems" amp. These were usually cursed at as being no good. But my model, with two GT EL34s and a singl...

I wonder if Fender has ever thought about that kind of product testing.

I really want the Demeter Fuzzalator. It's really two Fuzz boxes in one because it has two ciruits to switch between. A two Germanium and a two Silicone. So you can go flabby Fuzz Face to a tighter bottomed fuzz-distortion.
