Thanks for the tip! I'm using the 800 through the light pipe on the DD 002, so i don't think it's a software problem. With the 800 unhooked from the DAW, I run signal through each of the channels and the lights show input on channels 2-8, but it's dead on 1. i called the Apogee tech support and they...

I missed it by 20 minutes.

If the guy would have posted it in the musical instruments section, I would have seen it.

Guess I'll have to start checking the electronics section as well.

Rosetta 800

A couple of months ago I bought an 800 used from a guy and it was working great, but now all of a sudden channel 1 doesn't work.

I metered out my db25 cables and all is well.

Has anyone ever run into this problem?

I may have to just send it in........Damn!

Thanks

Oh but it tis affordable. For me to make a full length recording (14 songs), I only need 3 reels of tape, with dumping it into my DAW. The cost is under 200 bucks, or less than one bar gig! That is dirt cheap for the sound that no processor nor plug in will ever achieve. Of course I'm not running 2...

Here are my thoughts... You were not specific on what your going to record, as far as instrumentation. I went and popped on some of the tunes from your music page and it's sounds like it's mostly acoustic stuff, so I would eat up the 8 hours by laying the main acoustic tracks with a great signal pat...

Oh, I thought you wanted it as a sound effect the way people use vinyl scratches/pops in the background. Anyway, somebody will want that freesound sample sooner or later. Nice Hiss! I'm curious though to know what kind of converters you use, because it I'm not hearing any depth in it. It's a little...

I'll hit Rat Shack tomorrow and pick up a pack of 4 A slo blows. Thanks for all the tech advice. Your chec...

Thanks for the info....

You were right on the fuse thing. It should have a 4 amp in it for 120V.

I'm gonna switch out the power tubes and put in the 4 amp fuse and see if she fires up.

Thanks again!

Guitar Amp help!

I was wondering if any of you could help me out here.... I have a Sovtek Mig 50H and I was running it wide open so I could hear how the power tubes would saturate, and I wound up blowing one of the fuses. I replace the fuse and when I take it off of stand by, it immediately blows again. The weird th...

I have two of them! If you want grit, then look no further. The SRA-3 doesn't really do clean very well. After you go pass 1-2 on the dial, you start hitting tube saturation. I've heard it said that these compare to the Ampex 351's. I love mine and use them in certain situations. A good reference wo...
