Bad ass. I really want a "jellybean" vistalites kit, but I'm not a drummer and I've already got a good kit. How do those things sound? They sound HUGE!!!! I've always wanted a jellybean set up too. I might buy and extra rack and floor tom off of Ebay to do it. I might get a clear 14" and a red 16" ...

I said 12AX7 before, but it's actually a 12AT7. What I stepped down to was a 12AU7. I put old RCA tubes in one side, and old GE's in the other. The line tube is a 6AU6 and the mic tube is a 12AU7. Those are the only 2 tubes you have to change out, if you so desire. Tubes don't make that much of a di...

Buss compressor is always on from the start! Attack quicker than slower and a semi fast release. 4 to 1 ratio. It's mostly receiving it's db reduction from the kick and snare. I never go under -4 db in general. Transients will push it to -5 or -6 rarely. No drum buss compression. Sometimes a little ...

Just to comment on what alkooloid might try....... Sometimes when I plug a microphone into the Mic input, it's too much gain for the preamp, so I go into the line input and it's fine. And it sounds GREAT!!!!! Another fun thing to do is....when mixing, sometimes I will run stuff back through them for...

As Goikem said.......no offense, but....... I would put them on Ebay, if you think you can get that kind of money for them! I'll stick with my crappy pair of Telefunken V72's I got for $2,000.00, less than a year ago. Neve modules are only worth what someone will pay for them...and thank God were no...

When I mix..... My main focus is on the drum kit and the lead vocal. I say the drum kit, but it could also pertain to the rhythmic force that's driving the song.....aka percussion. It's my opinion that lousy sounding drums makes everything sound bad, even if you have recorded the holy grail of guita...
