Re: soundcard with xlr inputs?
The problem here is that if we are talking about a soundblaster card or any other commercial grade sound card his audio is going to to be Truncated to 16/44.1 through crappy A/D converters and it is going to sound like ass, he is going to have to upgrade to a better quality A/D conversion to avoid t...

I spoke to somebody I know who is a Mackie tech, the truth about the Onyx pre's is that they are XDR pre's they have been stightly modified by perkins to color them with a more pleasant EQ.

Re: soundcard with xlr inputs?
actually the one I gave you a link to is a firewire unit, plug it in to a firewire port, load the software, BAM you are good to go...less tha 100 bucks too I believe, and you could hook a pair of monitors to it and do all your windows stuff as well, myself, for an analog mixdown scenario I would wan...

Re: Soundscape press release..look out!!
it's not Windows that is unstable, it's the crap people load onto it. piss poor drivers for underdeveloped hardware and poorly designed software is the issue way more so than Windows itself. people load a bazillion BS programs and run outdated drivers and wonder why they have issues

Re: Soundscape press release..look out!!
Maybe a little overzelous, LOL, I am tickled to see this company come back in the game so strong after the Mackie fiasco, The Mixtreme card was the best audio card I've ever used and if it wasn't for the fact I needed 96K, I would still use one. The configurable mixer is more powerful than any softw...

Re: soundcard with xlr inputs?
you will need an adapter of some sort to go straight to a soundcard, if you just want to enjoy a quality 2 track mixdown from an analog source, the are many options, pretty cheap too, M-box,Ego-sys (ESI would be my preference), lots of other offer products to allow you to do this cheap, should upgra...

It will record the funkiest, nastiest, hip hop and Rap the world has ever heard brother, there is full support for the Giga Sampler and VST, that would include VSTI's and you wont even need a second computer to reliably run Giga sampler on it..HA HA HA..the future is here!!!!!!!
