actually the one I gave you a link to is a firewire unit, plug it in to a firewire port, load the software, BAM you are good to go...less tha 100 bucks too I believe, and you could hook a pair of monitors to it and do all your windows stuff as well, myself, for an analog mixdown scenario I would wan...

it's not Windows that is unstable, it's the crap people load onto it. piss poor drivers for underdeveloped hardware and poorly designed software is the issue way more so than Windows itself. people load a bazillion BS programs and run outdated drivers and wonder why they have issues

you will need an adapter of some sort to go straight to a soundcard, if you just want to enjoy a quality 2 track mixdown from an analog source, the are many options, pretty cheap too, M-box,Ego-sys (ESI would be my preference), lots of other offer products to allow you to do this cheap, should upgra...

It will record the funkiest, nastiest, hip hop and Rap the world has ever heard brother, there is full support for the Giga Sampler and VST, that would include VSTI's and you wont even need a second computer to reliably run Giga sampler on it..HA HA HA..the future is here!!!!!!!

I have no idea about pricing..but historicaly, these guys have been very fair and competitve...this is truly a "take it to the next level" kind of deal.
