Hi, Try looking at the MOTU 24io. They work with both Macs and PCs, and are good to get you going. You can stack up to 4 of them with one computer, for a total of 4x24 = 96 channels of inputs and outputs. This way you can do the OTB mixing. Cheers Thanks for the suggestion! I'd been looking at thos...

You only need a 2 channel D to A in order to mix multiple tracks from your computer. 24, 40, 67, 129 whatever. You do need the appropriate number of A to D inputs in order to track the number of tracks you'd like to simultaneously record. If you only intend to record two inputs at a time then a sim...

Noob question about converters, etc.
So, I've been recording for years...mostly on 4 track portastudios. I've done some recordings with my band at various higher end studios and some basement studios using the Presonus 8 channel interfaces. I'm just getting to the point that I'd like to start recording my own band myself. My biggest ob...

Yamaha M1524 Console For Sale
My dad's got a Yamaha M1524 Console that he wants me to get rid of for him. He's 99% sure that all the channels work fine and there are no issues whatsoever with it. He's got the original power supply and the owner's manual. He just wants to get it out of the garage, so if anyone's interested, make ...

If you really want a total quality product, with the BEST customer service, and an INSANELY FAST turnaround time, go through CDMan. I've put out a fair amount of vinyl, so here goes: Carl Saff is awesome and cheap, cheap, cheap for mastering. From what I hear, he is also an extremely nice, down-to-earth guy. United is good, and just about the cheapest place around. Pirate's Press is great, willing to do some CRAZY colors/combos,...

As a shopper, I would much rather use a PayPal button then have to type in my name, credit card, shipping address, email address, etc. yet again into yet another unfamiliar clunky interface... just to buy a $10 CD, no less. And as a musician selling CDs I want to make it as easy and quick and famil...

-cell phone on mic singer calling cell phone I've done this and it sounds really awesome! Doing the vocal take in the same room as the mic'ed up cell phone sounds really cool, too. You get an ambient, but unaffected vocal in the background of a static-y, distorted, slightly delayed cell phone track...
