Seems like Discmakers can do the specifics I needed, mainly the printing of the cover across the whole digipak, and printing the UPCs as stickers, and putting them on the shrinkwrap (dont want the UPCs messing up the cover painting) Has anyone ever had anything done at Massive Mastering? My bandmate...

I have a 414 and just a Behringer Ultragain that I got for 50 bucks 5 years ago. While I know that I could definitely have a better pre, the result of using it goes from disgusting to amazing (relatively speaking).

For me, I get things fundamentally right...like the distortion to sound right in the room, then I place my mic in different places, recording samples and playing them back and adjusting.

That might not work for you, so just keep trying things.

how was guitar mic'd/tracked/mixed? I dont quite remember, haha. I was responsible for external sounds, arrangement and playing. All I know is that the acoustic guitar was most likely recorded with a Neumann TLM103, because thats my favorite microphone in our studio. It's always my goto mic before ...
