Don't remember where I heard this, but I'm pretty sure they were rehearsing and didn't realize they were actually rolling yet when that song was tracked. So you're gonna be more likely to get that loose, relaxed magic on hopefully the first take. So don't mess up. It does sound like very few tracks....

Something similar to that which I do is send the p.a. some kick drum. Feels great when you hit the kick. I don't have a sub, but I imagine that would be awesome. You'll get some nice low end in the room mics. I'm sending it stuff post recorder from a cue send. Interesting idea to try reverb in there...

Here's a trick that I picked up recently. I haven't tried it yet, but in theory it should work. Patch your direct outs into a summing mixer. That way you would have the best of both worlds, faders and metering from your board, and higher quality summing and amps from the tonebuss. I thought this was...

a80's are "mod-friendly", as long as your transport is working you'll be good to go.. (If it's a standard transport I'd say pick up 5 more channels on ebay (*Check which MK version you have!!). You'll also have to buy a new headstack from JRF Magnetics. Actually, this could get pricey pretty quickly...
