Awesome! Thanks for the help, everyone. I haven't put the protools on my PC yet. That's why I asked. I have a hard drive FULL of protools 7.3 mac. I want to get an mbox mini with 7.0 just so I can open the sessions and edit them. Just for mixing, not for tracking.

MAC to PC protools

If I have sessions on Protools 7.3 recorded on a MAC, will the seesion open up on a PC running Protools? Not worried so much about plug-ins.

In England the Beatles songs become public domain in a few years. At least the early stuff. It'll be another 50 years here in the US.

It's amazing what raw talent sounds like. Now days people are so used to fixing things and editing the shit put of bad playing that raw recordings sound under produced. I read that there are only two songs that have over dubs on that album. Out of the early Van Halen recordings I think Diver Down so...

As much as I hate it , I'm obsessed with it too. I LOVE parts of it, but when I hear the Taxman solo over Drive My Car, it's awful. I guess I love the remixes and hate the mash-ups.

I think it's great for what it is. If it were anything else, who knows what any of us would think about it. It's all relative. Albums (by actual artists) are works of art. It's like saying "would the Mona Lisa look as good if it had more brown in it?"

I compare this travesty to what George Lucas did to Star Wars. The one saving grace to this album is the version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

I was lucky enough to see The Who in San Diego with Entwhistle. They were great. The Stones are still great live. Better then most young acts today. The Who INVENTED something incredible that's for sure, but if you mix everything they ever did in a hat you'd come up with more crap then gems. Even wi...

I hear alot about simulating good amps, but actual direct guitar. Has anyone mentioned the Red Box? It's a cabinet simulator straight out of your head. I've used it and loved it and I've hated it other times. I don't know. Anyone use one?

Roger Daltry sounds great on it. Pete too I suppose. The songs aren't very good though. It's thier first album in 24 years, but they havn't put out a GREAT album in probably over 30. I hate to say it but I don't really like the new one at all, but it doesn't ruin theit rep as one of the greatest roc...
