i only skimmed through all this reading and think it's interesting, but i was surprised not to see any mention of the whole VHS copying thing OR the radiohead/louis ck model of paying directly. technology and convenience and money are bigger than music. p.s. I don't use spotify because they don't ha...

I had to give up my pro tools mpowered recently because of an emergency osx update etc etc and i don't do too much recording but the tascam dp 008 piqued my interest. I guess it's all sort of the same. The thing is I have a preamp and would want to use it but I don't think there's an elegant way to ...

Is the MJE-K47 relatively dark? My impression from the sound clips, because I really want one, is that it's sort of natural sounding in a good way. I got an un modded mxl 604 that I should get modded first. then I will get the capsule. I don't think michael joly, correct me if i'm wrong sir, is tryi...

Wow thanks for the responses! -I wanted to use this tuning to possibly mess around with a drone sort of washed out sound. I have a pretty shitty analog keyboard that has a tuner knob on it and I thought it could lead to something fun. also, I've heard about lou reed doing this in the early velvet da...

Tuning to 60hz on Guitar

Hello all, I was wondering what I would have to set the standard a=440hz to make the low e on a guitar 60hz. I think it's around 320hz but have no idea if I'm right. In general I was wondering if any of you had any experience trying to tune to the 60hz hum and how you went about it. (Like tuning the...

I nominate : Fleetwod Mac : Tusk. In the words of the Immortal Rick James : "Cocaine is a HELL of a drug" This album fell victim to that drug, along with a host of others in the 70's Drugs suck. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!? that album sounds so good it's disgusting. great, strange pop music. drugs do...
