The Grateful Dead was an American adventure for many who took the ride. They became inseperable from the Lysergic mythology of the Merry pranksters as chronichled in Tom Wolfe's book "Electric Kool Aid Acid Test". Put out the Psychedelic masterpiece " Anthem of the Sun" pioneered multi-trac recordin...

Have to cast a vote for the 4 channel Sytek 4 {mpxi)? Ive used for some months and it seems to capture distrorted guitar tones and drum overheads well. I don't have experience with High end gear and can't give comparisons. Just hocked the chickens for one Neve portico 5012, and hope these are all th...

The 5012 does not have a1/4" instrument line in. I plugged a precision bass into a Radial JDI into xlr mic input of the Portico and running the gain on 48 or 54 with the trim on 0 or +2 , heard really clear and deep tones being produced in my headphones. I have not mixed anything using it for bass y...

Re: Optical into Protools LE
the input is configured for "optical spdif"in the I/O setup window and the stereo audio channel is set to "stereo spidif", and I've tried setting sync to internal and optical spdif, it tells me the external or optical spdif is not recognised and reverts to internal. I'm wondering if the problem is w...

Re: The Thread About Pro Tools (Windows)
This is not a reply, just a repeat of an earlier post. I thought this might be a good place since this is the Protools on Windows thread. I can record from the 002r via optical into the HHb burnit with no problem, but, recording from the HHb into the 002r via the optical spdif is not working. I get ...

Optical into 002r
I can use the optical out from the 002r into the HHB burnit with predictable results, but when I try to go from the HHB into the 002r via the optical s/pdif i get no thing.
Have any of you faced and solved this problem?
Oh yeah, it's the LE 6.1.1 on XP.

Prot tools Le on windows XP
Not alot of chatter on this subject, does this mean not many people are using windows? Recently, when opening a protools session on my Intel motherboard with 2.8 gig p4, running LE 6.1.1, the audio files are missing, in all but 2 cases the auto relink feature opens the audio right on up. in one case...

Thanks for your reply, I will give the "save session as" a try. Nero is a cd burning software similar to Roxio.
