electro voice RE-15
Works well. Not in bad shape, except on the rolloff selector there are small etchings to show which roll-off you are selecting (/ or |). I can send pictures if you like. I'm selling it for $129+6 shipping. Paypal or money order is fine. Thanks.

FS: Toft AFC-2 Mic Pre/EQ & Toft EC-1 Pre/EQ/Compressor
Hello, I am selling two Toft pieces. $425 each. The first is the AFC-2--two channel preamp with great EQ. The other is the EC-1--one channel preamp with EQ and one channel of compression. Both are only a couple months old. More or less new, work great, with original box and manual. The Ebay links ar...

FS: Vintage~! Gefell UM70 Large Diaphragm Condenser
This microphone is the East German version of the U87. It contains the MV691 solid state mic amp and the UM capsule which is essentially the same as the legendary M7 (well known from the U47 M49 and CMV3). So it sounds closer to the U47 than the U87. It also has the pick-up patterns: cardioid omni a...

Has anyone else ever tried to recreate the '67-69 era Ringo drums? The first thing we can establish is that it's obvious just by listening that Ringo has a wallet, pack of cigs or towel laying on the snare to muffle it. This was also stated by Geoff in an interview. Now, the actual snare drum is obs...

Still doesn't make "Honey Pie" a particularly listenable song.

Re: Sell me your fizmo!
I had a Fizmo for a few months. Incredibly powerful synth for the money. Sounddiver only partially works (you can create new sounds but can't really edit the presets). Also, because of the known problems I almost had a heartattack everytime I turned it on and got nervous if I had left it on too long...

This may go down as one of the more brilliant moves the US has ever pulled off. You may remember the article recently where the US said they would now equip the Palestinian army with weapons, etc. Wow, what a sudden change of heart. How nice of us. Just as was the case in Iraq, even though the major...

For those who are considering buying something from James; I bought the RCA 74 and he shipped it super fast and was a pleasure to deal with.

shipping guitars
I've got an acoustic with a nice hardcase that I'm going to be shipping in the next couple days. How have you guys shipped guitars in the past? I'm thinking I can just wrap the case in brown paper and that would be sufficient. Or perhaps wrap the case in bubblewrap, then cover that with brown paper....
