congratulations on getting a 388. here's a manual.

follow the loading instructions written there. if you're still having problems, you probably have to replace a blown fuse or a belt, or both.

good luck.

Lately my fave setup is a 4033 in XY with a Joly modded 012. The 4033 is so quiet and balanced and really grabs the lows well - nice, smooth lows. The modded 012 excels in the midrange with silky, clear high's. The clarity in the Joly modded 012 is so incredible. i'm gonna have to try this. i only ...

creature, i think the more you use the 388, the more you'll be enamored with it. i went through a phase where i was "looking for more." even went as far as selling it off. luckily it got damaged in shipping. came back to me like a hobbled child. still works for the most part, even though it lo...

Gunshy : Did you get the part you were after? How about those sideboards? as it stands i have a bad channel card. took it in to get fixed. it sat in a repair shop for 2 months, got it back with nothing done. but i just found a much more reliable repair shop, so hopefully they can get it back to 100...

Re: yesterdays not quite vintage gems - suggestions?

i want to hear anybody's recommendations for cool outboard gear that isn't necessarily old enough (or popular enough) to be "vintage" but is old enough to not be the latest thing and therefore CHEAP! i got an ebay account, an itchy mouse clicking finger, and a rack that i'm itching to fill up. http...

i use a method my friend showed me. i guess it's an old electrician's trick. it looks a bit weird (the cable looks a bit like a double helix when it's done) but you never have to buy anything, you can just toss all the cables in a box, and never have to worry about tangling. it's incredible. i've be...

Also, it works well if you just put the coiled cable in the bag, twist the opening a few times and put the twisted part under the bag when you set it down. That way you don't have to do any tying/un-tying while setting up and tearing down. If you coil up using the over/under method, tangles won't h...
