Haven's tried them as room mics. Need to explore that...

I just got a 4 piece set of '60's Rogers "Holiday" drums. 20x14 Kick, 12x8 and 16x16 toms and 14x5 "Powertone" snare. The wrap is "Blue Onyx Pearl". They're beat up, but they cleaned up ok. Both of the toms are missing the bottom rims. I found an old Ludwig rim for the hi tom but I think it's bent a...

Thanks for the responses guys! So I gather they have a very specific use, and probably don't have much use to anyone then? Interesting they came from an 80's console with no tubes of any kind. Is there another use that makes sense in a not-tube setting? I was hoping they could be used in a summing a...

I've had a few of those Silvertones, and really liked them. Wish I still had them. I've got a Sound City 50 Plus that sounds great for some things.

Thanks! I had a blast doing it. More to come. Here's a link to a song a friend and I recorded using ONLY the Uber-ribbon and a Portico preamp. I got the mic yesterday afternoon, and did this in about 3 hours. Drums were done with the mic about 2 feet from the kit in between the kick and snare. I cou...

Any idea on shipping costs? or will this vary for location? Also what forms of payment are you comfortable with? I'm doing the shipping on a per item basis, hoping to keep the costs as cheap as possible. I'm good with Paypal if the fees are covered by the buyer, or money orders/cashiers checks. I'v...

Thanks for the good wishes folks! It's been quite a road. We're having our daughter tested for allergens in Northern Colorado. She was born in Ft. Collins CO, and was never sick until we came here 6 years ago. Since then it's been one thing after another. She has off the charts allergies to most tre...
