Ampeg B-25 Amp, also known as the baby SVT will give you all the tone without so much freaking wattage to soak up. They run about 55-60 Watts. They come in heads and 1x15" combos. Not the solution you were looking for but a good alternative for recording.

Have you actually used a 2480 to draw these conclusions?
No, but I had used the older Roland Gear (zip drive!) and always hated it. I was actually confusing the 2480 with the 1680 I think. I was really stating that the Pro Tools path would be easier now that nearly every studio has Pro Tools.

So now the Asheville Craigslist has been littered with responses to this abstract guitar stuff, both good and bad. It has become quite the soap opera. Any of you guy post on there, hmm? I wasn't trying to hurt the guy's feelings, just wanted to point out his delusion and mock his illogical overconfi...

NC breeds 'em good. I guess that you've never lived in Asheville. Hey, now we don't need to start Asheville/NC bashing here. This guy would be just as deluded in Eureka, CA or Topeka, KS. He may in fact have some real problems like actual retardation or autism, but I doubt it. I think he's just som...

I am pretty sure this guy will sell exactly zero guitars in his lifetime unless he finds a time machine that transports you to Bill and Ted's Excellent Alternate 1987. Great quotes from the builder... i ahve around 13 more designs that make this one look like total garbage i'm doing something differ...

Most deluded sap ever.

This guy has posted several times here locally. I get a good laugh each time. I particularly enjoy the complete lack of typing, spelling, and conjugation skills. Enjoy. http://asheville.craigslist.org/msg/1072824900.html http://asheville.craigslist.org/msg/1075249534.html http://asheville.craigslist...

For the record, the Mac Pro has one FW 800 port, but no Firewire 400 port. http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/specs.html Your link and comment refer to a MacBOOK Pro, but you said Mac Pro. The New Mac Pro Towers now have 4 Firewire 800 ports, 2 on the back and two on the front. Firewire 800 may be a d...

Wow, bandcamp.com is the shiz. This is exactly the kind of web page I wanted. It could look a little fancier, but all the functionality is there. A lot like archive.org, but less like a library. Everyone should check it out.

On to check out virb.com...

The White Macbook still has FW400. Yes, it does, but that is an older design. Now that the whole line has been updated, it is clear that Firewire 400 is gone completely from new macs. In it's place is the backwards compatible Firewire 800 in all the machines EXCEPT the Macbook. I am hoping they wil...

Apple just released new Macs today across their whole desktop line. ALL of them have Firewire 800, but NONE of them have Firewire 400. So, it is clear that 400 is gone, BUT maybe the next revision of the Macbook will squeeze a Firewire 800 port back in there. I think they will. By the way in case yo...

Dude, I don't have any secrets. I will share whatever you want to know. Since this is your first rebuild I would keep it simple. First of all look at the wiring, for a couple of years Bogen used this weird stuff that is now literally melting into ooze. You will be able to tell right away if it has t...

Reverb nation is kind of like MySpace + Sonicbids + New Ideas all carefully fused together. Archive.org lets you present your material however you want in w...
