Kudos to the AT 4033

They sound great!

Mine took a 3 foot fall last night (Gasp!) onto cement and came it back like a champion!

It still sounds great!

Have you thought of making your own?

Re: Recording one's own band

It's bad luck to record one's own band! When I'm recording a band that I play in, I usually save my parts for last. Unless the band needs me to play with them. This allows me to listen to the performance and not get hung up on what I'm doing. I find it to be easier when you are not the driving force...

I love the 2001 for kick. You can also get the David Royer mod and turn these into some damn fine tube mics.

Re: JJ and the Rockers

Sorry, As for the JJ's. My amp sounds amazing. It sounded good before, but Bob and his JJ's hooked it up sweet like. As a matter of fact a well known NW producer like the sound of my amp so much that he offered to buy it. It's not just the tubes, its also the tech. If you e-mail him and tell him wha...

Re: JJ and the Rockers

Bob is a great guy and he know's his shit. He loves his job. The reason why it's so JJ, is because he does a lot of business with them. JJ loves what he has done for them. Last time I spoke with him, he was working on tube design with them. Of coure I had no idea what he was talking about as I had n...

This tutorial has been a very important tool at our little studio. I make copies of it and give it to the drummers before the sessions. I also use it to dial in the drums when they come in.
