But, considering that M-Audio's full line of interfaces runs with M-Powered, I'm not sure you can really say that the exclusivity of LE interfaces is somehow making Digi's job easier. Its not like Avid bought M-Audio and then dropped some of their products. After all, that hybrid keyboard-controlle...

+1
Most new dehumidifiers will allow you to remove the tank and attach a hose. If you've got a drain that connects to your sump pump, you can pretty much let this system "run itself".

Likewise, if they open up their software to work with any damn interface on the market, it means they have to program the software to do so. Then they have to constantly maintain the compatibility with the hundreds of different products out there, and prepare for all the service calls when someone ...

There's little excuse to not be able to track, mix, and master a full record in logic 8 without buying any extra shit and it costs less than some reverb plugins. digi has more competition than they think. :X I just wish I could see the waveform when I drag a Region in the Arrange window. And if App...

I know I've been guilty of, at the end of a long tracking session, doing a little bit of "pre-mixing" in the box. If I'm reasonably fluent in the DAW I'm working on, I can pop in a lot of plugs pretty quickly. But since its the end of a long day (or even a short one), I'm in a hurry and I tend to be...

"I like to think like a businessman every once in a while (if I was a real businessman I wouldn't be recording at all!!). When a construction company owner upgrades his/her tools, the motivation is because it's going to make the company money or save the company money in the long run. Well, no pream...

What if that is the only mic you can safely use on him, under any circumstances? I'm imagining that the band's management comes in to the session and says to the producer, "The last guy who recorded us said to give you this" and hands over a scrap of paper. On it, scrawled in dried blood, are the wo...

I think the VF will support zip and jazz drives too. If you can get it to export .wav files to one of those formats, that could be an ooption as well.

I think that just the fact that this ME makes you feel uncomfortable about pointing out obvious mistakes is reason enough to look for someone else you can be more comfortable with. I don't recall saying this. Or at least meaning to say this. And I'm not sure if the ME is "making" me feel anything. ...

but, you were uneasy about that conversation for some reason. not to speak for superaction, but i think it's totally natural to be uneasy about it. i don't think anyone likes telling someone else they're not happy with their work. i had a record i did mastered by someone everyone knows and it came ...

sounds like there are some really weird, passive agressive communication issues at work here. I don't know if it's because of you or your ME. But, the first thing that I'd do is find a ME that you feel comfortable discussing these things with. interesting. Is this because I didn't quibble with him ...

Update: my guy just called me to tell me that he's got another reference for the clients. He told me he heard the EQ issues that I had heard and that he checked the whole program once he'd fixed them. And he's not going to charge me for the revision. I'm not sure how to take this last part. He's nev...
