no the Decibelab is a different animal, although soundwise they're fairly close. I would say the Quantum is a little more open sounding, especially in the EQ. The Decibelab has that stuffy 70s sound that I wanted

There was a tapeop article some time ago about his early recording days, and he explained about lining up the two reel to reel machines for multitracking

I think the console was kept up really well, probably covered up in a non-smoking temperature controlled environment. The guy who built the console made some strange decisions.
