I liked the MXL best, but could see the Teak adding some useful aggressiveness. I guess the ribbons would be cool to take some edge off, but I usually use a xanax for that...

Sears, thanks for the kind words. I messed with it a bit, but I hope it didn't ruin anything you liked about it.

Gregg, I'll send you a pm.

Thanks Gregg. I am with you all the way on the timpani. Wish I had one, but I don't even have a sample of one at present. I'll get that cymbal under control. I'm gonna try to cut a fresh vocal and maybe even redo the guitar while I have a few days off. I think I need to rethink my process. Maybe goi...

If you change your mind about shipping them I call dibs! Is it the hassle of shipping? Because I'll gladly pay the shipping cost. :P

Yeah, 'regular' music sounds 'ok', but my mixes fall apart in a much worse way than they do on any other system that I know of.

Maybe I will just replace these with something better and take them home. Two birds, one stone. Hmmm....

So there is this computer at work...

...and it has a really crappy set of speakers and a subwoofer. I say 'really crappy' only because it shreds my mixes apart like a wood chipper. I listen to music on it and it just sounds like music on cheap speakers. I play my mixes on them and I can't wait to get home and fix stuff. I usually check...

No, that is definitely a compliment. Anytime a song can influence your beverage selection you're doing something right!

Really, really, really love it!

It did feel like you could have dropped in with a whole new drum and bass at some point, though. Could have kicked the whole thing into in to intergalactic overdrive.

I think anything you can do to reduce the number of times you say' 'F it, I'll do it later" because you don't feel like setting up and breaking down a chain is money well spent. Stuff like fumbling around behind your rack with a flashlight definitely fall in that category. Get that stuff where it's ...

Gotta love a band that can deliver right off the floor and has the balls to record that way. My only nit would be that there's a little to much room on the drums, but that probably more personal than problematic.
