I'm a little late to the party here, but I really like this record and the Letterman clip is fantastic too. Can't wait to catch them live.

Looseness is so unappreciated these days, no? Imma bring it back! Seriously though, I've started playing around making loops out of a couple of those 16th note elements to see how that feels. I don't really like the whole 'nail everything to a grid' ethos, but I suppose a little tightening up wouldn...

It's a Dean ML, but if you really want that tone you're going to need the leather thong and fuzzzy boots too.

How would you go about ripping off...

Some off the drum and bass sounds from David Bowie's Low album? Like 'Breaking Glass' for instance, or 'Sound and Vision'? Is that snare triggering some kind of gated flanger or phaser?

Yeah, that's better!

I'm not Nick, and I'm certainly not Nick, but I think you might try adding a little weight in the low end, there isn't much beef there.

It's a cool song! I shouldn't have to be straining to make out the lyrics though, especially when they're that clever. Put the singer in the spotlight!

Wow, thanks! you just made my day... The song itself is pretty old, and is based on a couple of my friends went to a ranch where UFOs were suppose to land every weekend and dropped a lot of acid. Something happened, anyway. One woke me up early the next morning and needed me to talk him back down to...

Personally speaking, I would love to have a second m160 so that I could do stereo overheads, or under heads or GJ set up, etc. In other words, purely for drums. For me, if I'm going to use an m160 for anything else and want a second mic on that source, I'm usually looking for a contrast, such as the...
