Re: Can Someone Explain Why This Isn't Working To Me

I’m not much help since I don’t have the Tascam MTS, but track 8 has a dbx defeat switch specifically for when you record timecode and such...are you using that? I’m not totally sure that it should work they way you are trying to...I wouldn’t think that’s for triggering a “pattern” on a drum machine...

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....

Got a new pawn shop special...a pretty rare headless...1986 Ibanez AXB1000...not to be confused with the smaller bodied Axstar line it is a full bodied headless with real steinberger parts, active pickups...and is a fujigen Gakki built model. Bought because it was real cheap (basically nothing onlin...

Re: Resident audio T4 Thunderbolt comparability issues?

I know nothing about this interface but their website at least is current enough to say not to update to Catalina, so maybe they are planning an update...however I notice their social media pages haven't been touched in over 4 years. This is a big red flag to me, as far as holding out for a Catalina...

Re: Anyone use Waves Tune in Pro Tools 2019 (aka 12) successfully?

so I spent more than a week going back and forth with Waves support. They eventually had me send a session to them - I cut it down to a very small section of vocal that would produce the artifacts about 80% of the time I processed it (but mind you, not every time...). The support dude came back and...

Re: I have high end console

I can’t really tell what you’re asking, possibly English as a second language? With that said, the best service you can do to show off your studio/etc is to make memorable recordings with it... I don’t speak for everyone but the way I consume music is...am I listening to a good song? Cool. Then...do...

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....

ok, what did you score on this years black friday and cyber monday specials? I signed up for a free Waves plugin but, just like last year's free plugin, will probably never install it or use it. But, it was free, so i saved 100% right? I signed up for the same free plugin, never got the email “4 ho...

Re: Anyone use Waves Tune in Pro Tools 2019 (aka 12) successfully?

Yeah I was just about to say with black friday sales it looks like it wouldn't be that much to get the latest...they sent me an offer to buy it for $30 something..but I don't really need it so I didn't. I only noticed pops/clicks if I was looping a clip....it would pop at the end of the clip, but on...

Re: Anyone use Waves Tune in Pro Tools 2019 (aka 12) successfully?

I have Pro Tools 2019.5 installed, and I have Waves Tune Lite...I threw it on a vocal track and seemed to work as expected, no tricks. I'm on a Mac.

Re: Sharing GarageBand Files

I have very little GB experience, but i opened it up on my iPad and it sounds like what your client is doing is just sending their session file...which I *think* is different than going to the song browser - select the song - share - project (says it includes your multitrack audio and stuff).

Re: Soundproofing a Tuff Shed

IME, the box I used (I made one from an Anvil case) was good for getting the amp cooking for power tube distortion, but I found I definitely had to add ambience, which was definitely not as good as a mic'd room. As well, it was really difficult to minimize the kinda boxiness of the sound. FWIW, I w...

Re: Online Guitar Lessons

I've been working through the Mickey Baker book this year. There's a minimalist website that can accompany it, www.jazzandhotguitar.com Not exactly what you're after, perhaps, but it's the first book course I've actually enjoyed and felt like I got a lot from. Really nice combination of building mu...
