I'm curious: is there a particular reason why you selected just those two? Amongst all the 1" 8 tracks, they are pretty different in terms of tape handling, sound, complexity and so on. Have you ruled out MCI, Studer and 3M? Cheers, Otto They were actually recommended in a TapeOp article I read it'...

yeah thats the old 70's- 80's studio trick to get that sparkly sound. Use dolby A, B or C on decode but not on encode. Or use dolby to encode, but use two channels of it on playback! DBX doesnt work like that for some reason. So if I switch it on in mixdown mode to whereever I send it it brings out...

Good score - I suspect the mixer will be even cooler than the 4-track cassette...

Re: Fender Deluxe Reverb is the eel's hips

I just traded a '73 Twin Reverb for this new Deluxe '65 reissue and can say this is the sound I've been hearing in my head as far as "that" Fender sound. That silverface was just awful; not sure if I had a bad one but could not make that thing not sound like shit no matter what mod, speaker/tube sw...

Must do something neat like record at high speed or something. Yeah there's not much info out there...The guy even has all the p...
