My new job uses Sonar 7 Producer exclusively. I'll have a couple of weeks to mess around with it. Are there any boards / forums / tutorials (besides TapeOp) that I should check out?

As I've learned the hard way, "if it doesn't exist it three places, it doesn't exist."

I dig http://www.rocstor.com/. I take that out on gigs, I'll burn a dvd copy immediately, then come home and copy it on to a Lacie drive.

Waaaay out on a limb here, but is that a Neal Stephenson reference?
If we were doing a top 5 books list, The Diamond Age would be on mine.

Well done! I want to jump on this diy train.

I've made a BYOC pedal, now I'm modding my MXL 990/991 I found a couple days ago, then I hope to try these out. Am I getting ahead of myself?

Great cases too. use them as the base for the new iMac.

I think it's less about format and more about distribution. You downloaded 128k mp3's because you could steal an album over limewire in 45 minutes. Now, bands release the album digitally for free. NIN gave away the 24bit/96K files. - You make CD's because you distribute them at shows. - You release ...

I tend to go through life with a fairly hardened thought process. What I like about music is that it knocks that process on its ass every once in a while. My albums in no order: minor threat minor threat - Just make music you care about. fugazi In On the Kill Taker - perfect guitar lines. Aphex Twin...

It's a "ping-like" sound that seems to trail whatever I play and it is there upon playback. Is this the sound of quantization error? I'm not sure. I'm waiting to get my mics back from a friend so that I can listen to them through the mBox 2 Pro. I wish I could post a sample but I don't have a websi...

Bands = advertising

http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/article3850368.ece I guess if you give your music away for free to be remixed in garageband by your fans, this is how you have to make money. It's how google makes money on their email. From now on, all my recordings are brought...

...and just to keep things interesting, you can download it in mp3, flac, apple lossless, or 24/96 audio! Holy crap!

I'm going to listen to this tomorrow on my way in to work.

I've had v5 since it came out. As far as I know, even v5 has never had the ability to record to anything other than SDII. It's promised for v6. But, I've got the v5 manual right in front of me and I can't find anywhere where it hints that .wav is an available recording format. Ye speak the truth ? ...
