I agree about the HHB stuff. I have the Radius 50 (tube pre and comp) and Radius 30. They don't seem to be around anymore??? I don't know. I am assuming they are the same as the TL audio boxes, but whatever. The tube pre is really nice and the compressor is untouchable!

I don't know ehre you can buy just the individual jacks, although I believe I have seen them in the switchcraft catalog, I am not sure. I would keep an eye peeled on ebay, you are bound to come across a bay or two (UK folk call patch bays jack fields). I am using a pair of ADC TT bays now and I love...

Check this out bigtime: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/Feb03/articles/studioinstallation0203.asp You have got unbalanced [ts] jacks at the top and balanced [trs] on the bottom, so you are going to have lots of open pins. You should double check all of this stuff with a meter before you hook it up ....

I don't know if you've fixed your pedal yet, but I once repaired a "holier grail" reverb, and the problem was so simple... When the 1/4" jacks become loose, a guitarist will often try to tighten them from the outside, the clerance around the jack is too little, and the hot pin shorts to ground. Chec...

have you pulled from the outputs of your pre to your effect (or whatever) through your patchbay? I have half normalled bays and I can grab the signal and patch it elswhere as the signal goes from preamp to converter. I don't know if this degrades the signal or freaks out the gear, I just do it if I ...

I just installed a pair of these combos in a FOH rack, they can have solder cups similar to the regular d series jacks. They have multiple pins, however, check them out @ neutrikusa.com I buy all my connectors from redco.com. they are much cheaper than 3.99. peace out.

Re: a couple phase/polarity questions

What do you hear when your tracks are out of phase? What are the best ways to avoid phase problems right off the bat?

Re: continuous hit music

Really like the tones and the song. Maybe not the voice... but I am really picky about singers. I like the catchy pop business, very similar to some of my own stuff... I really like the kick sound, floppy but snappy???

Re: Hill Adio Mixing Console

Thanks for the schematics link! I don't think my mixer is among these listed. My Hill is pretty old, 16 full size channel strips, subgroup and monitor section. I have never seen another Hill, I can't find them anywhere! What does your multimix look like?

Yes, I am the master of the 10 month bump.

Re: 3-D/Binaural listening experience

I have heard about a CD you listen to with headphones of an electric razor clipping your hair. Apparently it sounds amazingly realistic. I beleive this effect was created by tweaking the panning and phase simultaneously.

anyone ever record a marshall Mode 4?

Does anyone have experience with this amplifier and matching cabs? I am helping a friend pick an amp out, and he wants the mode 4, of course I told him not to get it, but I want to know how they really sound. thanks! Anthony
