For Phantom power to function through the bay, you just need to make sure you normal the points as well as jumper the shields on the same points, since there are no normalling lugs for the shield.

I stripped my MXLs in two steps. First I applied a little chemical stripping gel to the finish, this removed much of the color. Second, I removed the remaining color and spruced everything up on an electric bench grinder fitted with a wire brush wheel. Make sure to wear safety glasses and gloves. Th...

I buy a phase 90 for my studio about once a year. Everyone who tries it out, while recording, ends up buying it from me!

Hey party people, I am currently reviewing the three PR series mics. I have done several side-by-side recording tests against standard studio mics. I am going to upload these as soon as my server issue gets resolved.

soldering onto those pins must be a drag, my ADC bays have actual lugs, but I am not sure that yours are not considered "solder lugs" without the common hole. I am also not certain that there is an easy way to solder to them, in my area of the deep south, technicians get $500 a day to do that stuff!...

there is also a method for removing your grounding switch. I can't remmeber where I saw it, maybe the groove tubes book?? It tells you the correct way to wire the A/C to the power switch after removing the polarity switch.

Here is a likely scenario for your missing gound pin: the amp's previous owner had ground loop problems, he addressed them by defeating the ground connection from the amp to the earth. I doubt there was any circuitry reason for removing the pin. A lot of ground pins simply get broken off by accident...

It is tricky to get in to the tight spots! there is another method to soldering them, however. You can remove the screws that keep the modules on the frame (the modules divide the patchbay into quadrants, I think, on the ADC), pop them into your panavise and solder the modules instead of the whole w...

IMO they're extremely entertaining in moderation. "Soldiers of the Wasteland" is probably my favorite pump-up song by Dragonforce. Have a great time.
