Re: Bush, champion of secularism in the world
In pointing out a "sensible and low-cost solution" for avoiding a future attack, you are appeasing a madman. So, if we do things your way, all a fascist maniac has to do is strike at America in an effective way, so we will then proceed to follow a more sensible and low-cost approach in the hopes th...

then replace "his" with "the." the facts remain: the guy has a crayon lodged in his brain. I suppose its admirable that he has made it so far with such a disability.

Re: Bush's love of community colleges
I think Bush is trying to make community colleges look better to take attention away from the fact that they are the only ones most people can afford under his economy.

Re: Haunted Recording Studio!
I think it's just as illogical to say there is no afterlife than it is to say there is one. There is no way to answer the question of what happens when we die, because the deceased generally don't say too much on the subject. It could be something no one has even thought of yet. Nonetheless, these s...

Has anyone had experience with the new Mackie Onyx mixers?
At least from the looks of them they might be up your alley.

Re: Throwing in the towel?
I wouldn't call myself particularly knowledgable about making it in the recording industry, but my theory is that it is best to be "a big fish in a small pond." If you decide to continue pursuing recording as a career, find a smaller college town with good music, but fewer studios and a lower cost o...

Re: Remembering what you played...
I think the general consensus here is documentation and practice. I just always try to keep a cheap tape recorder and pad of paper around. I should keep a pad of staff paper around, because I always end up drawing staffs (staves?) and writing out my parts once I have them figured out. I don't even r...

Re: Cheney's Lesbian Daughter
Much about these "debates" is the baiting strategy that goes on. For example, when Kerry said..."Bush said, "I dont care about Bin Ladin."" and Bush instinctively said..."I didnt say that." ...oops wrong...Gotcha...ding 1 point. In the post-debate coverage, NBC news showed the original clip of Bush...

One of my bandmates sat in on a session at Prince's studio when he was a kid. I don't think Prince was there though. That's the end of my story.

Re: recording with 2 mics
I'll do one mic recording if I just want to lay down an idea. I never do it for final recording, but sometimes it ends up sounding good. It's all about the placement. If you get the mics in just the right spots, you'll get the right sound. instead of having a board of faders to move, you'll just hav...
